Identify the type of particles and the required filtration result before choosing the element. 2. What micron rating is required? The micron rating should reflect the actual filtration requirement. A finer element isn't automatically the best option. It can increase flow resistance and may require more frequent replacement when the filtration requirement does not justify it. 3.
