Wedge Wire False Bottom Screen for Brewery and Distillery

False bottom screens facilitate the filtration of particles from fermentation broth and are an important component of lauter tun vessels. It is mainly used in the mash tun, lauter tun, brew kettle, and boil kettle.

The mash tun is where the mashing process takes place, during which malted grains are mixed with hot water to extract sugars and other soluble compounds necessary for fermentation.

The false bottom screen is positioned at the bottom of the mash tun and acts as a filter to separate the liquid (wort) from the solid grain bed. It prevents the grains from flowing out while allowing the wort to pass through.
