What is a Coanda screen?

Coanda screens, also known as Coanda intake screens, are a type of curved wedge wire screen. It is designed to prevent debris and aquatic organisms from entering the intake system while allowing water to flow through. The screen is named after the Coanda effect, which is the tendency of a fluid to adhere to a curved surface. 

Coanda screen is mostly used for the filtration of water via the Coanda effect principle. No mechanical moving parts, and no need for costly maintenance and power.

Coanda screens have a wide range of applications, such as hydropower plants, agricultural applications, dewatering, drinking water, sediment filtering, and water treatment.
