Rotary Drum Screen for Filter Separator

The drum filter is a mechanical filtering device, the filter screen is stainless steel wedge wire screen.

Rotary Drum Screen is used to separate the micro-suspended solid (paper fiber) out of the liquid to reach the aim of solid-liquid separation. The difference of microfiltration is that the filter media has a tiny space and intercept the suspended solid by the centrifugal force of the filter drum.

The working principle is that the treated water enters the water distributor from the inlet, after a short period of steady flow, it evenly overflows from the outlet and distributes on the rotary drum screener that rotates in the opposite direction. Due to the relative shearing motion generated by the water flow and the inner wall of the rotary drum screens, the solid is retained and separated, and tumbles by the spiral guiding plate and discharges from the other end of the Rotary drum screen; And directed by the protection cover, the filtered wastewater flows out from the underneath sink.

There are four types of Rotary Drum Screens:

1. Rotating Drum Screen

Rotating Drum Screen is an internally fed screening device with the flow being fed and distributed inside a screening cylinder. It is widely used for separation of settleable solids from liquid in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plant.

2. Externally Fed Rotary Drum Screen

The Externally Fed Drum Screen is designed for small and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants. It's aiming at screening the floating solid substances in the water and widely used in wastewater pretreatment and industrial screening.

3. Rotary Drum Filter

Rotary Drum Filter is an internally fed screening device with the flow being fed and distributed inside a screening cylinder. It is widely used for separation of settleable solids from liquid in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plant.

4. Channel Drum Screens

Channel Drum Screens are widely used in wastewater treatment of municipal wastewater, industrial wastewater, food processing industry, paper making industry, ect. This equipment can remove the scum, short fiber and suspended solids from the water intake and then discharge them after pressing.

5. Rotary Vacuum Drum Filter

Rotary Vacuum Drum Filters provide a wide range of liquid-solids separation for many types of industrial processing flow sheets. They offer the operating flexibility to handle dewatering, washing and clarification applications, or a combination of the two.

The material is wedge wire. Wedge wire screens----minimize risk of clogging and maximizes the permeability ratio with the V-shaped profile.
