What is the use of a candle filter?

Candle filters are an alternative approach for removing fine particles.

It is a closed system consisting of a pressure vessel and vertically installed spiral candles. Can be used both as a filter and as a thickener.



What is the use of a candle filter? 

Provide for thin-cake pressure filtration, cake washing, drying, reslurry, and automatic discharge as well as heel filtration in an enclosed pressure vessel. Some application cases are like that:

1. Filtration and drying of activated carbon and bleaching earth from vegetable oil

2. Filtration of catalysts, for example, Pd, Pt, Rh, and Raney nickel

3. Cleaning of electrolyte baths e.g. Zn and Sn and precious metals

4. Filtration of PTA wastewater (Purification Terephthalic Acid)

5. Filtration of polyols

6. Filtration of antibiotics

7. Chloralkali filtration

8. Spin bath and rinse bath filtration

9. Filtration of cellulose fibers

10. Titanium dioxide filtration

11. Metal oxide filtration e.g. iron oxide, chromium oxide, etc.

12. Caffeine filtration

13. Potash filtration
